Bachata Factory Helsinki

BFH aims to advance bachata dancers filled with the desire to improve their dancing skills. Instead of attending classes, in BFH the learning comes from the participants themselves. Through peer teaching activities, the group helps its members with new points of view, constructive feedback, new dancing concepts, a focus on narrow aspects of the dance, challenges, and exercises.

Occasionally, teachers and international artists are invited with a specific theme and focus, to contribute their expertise to the members’ dancing growth.

BFH is held weekly in Vallila. The first project will start in mid-September and finish by the end of November.

To improve the focus and cooperation between team members, this project is aimed at a restricted group of 16 to 20 dancers. Only the people who have been nominated can take part in BFH.

It means that someone with the right to nominate has suggested that you become part of this first project. That is a compliment! And it gives you the right to nominate other people yourself. You have been trusted.

If you are interested in the project and want to be informed about it, you can nominate between 5 and 10 dancers.

Active bachata teachers cannot be nominated. Dancers who are routinely involved with dance schools and receive compensation for teaching bachata are considered teachers.

To choose who you nominate, you should answer the question: “From whom would you gladly receive feedback?”

You can use your invite link to nominate someone: open the personal invite link you received, and you’ll find the nomination form there.

The nomination period lasts until the 3rd week of August 2026. After that, invites with a specific date, time, and location will be sent out to the nominated people. The dancers with the most nominations will be prioritised until all places are filled. To join the group, a commitment to participate is required, meaning you have to commit to being there every week, with at most 1-2 exceptions.

This first project is 100% paid for. Yes, you got it right: someone else is sponsoring this project, so you get all the benefits for free. More will be explained during the first meeting.
